Yugi and Kaiba’s 2016 Structure Decks Are Returning Nearly 10 Years Later

Each deck contains 45 cards with the same rarity breakdown as the 2016 versions, while North American availability has not been announced.

The December Return

  • What is returning: Konami Europe has listed Structure Deck: Yugi Muto and Structure Deck: Seto Kaiba for a December release using the same 45 card configuration as the originals.
  • Release date: Both products are scheduled for December 10, 2026 in Europe.
  • Regional status: European release is confirmed, but Konami has not published a 2026 North American product page for either deck.

The Original Decks Are Back

Konami’s European pages list each product with 40 Commons, three Super Rares, two Ultra Rares, a Dueling Guide, a Rulebook and a Deluxe Game Mat. The Yugi deck focuses on the Electromagnet Warriors, Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior, Valkyrion the Magna Warrior and Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battlebot.

The Kaiba deck brings back A-Assault Core, B-Buster Drake, C-Crush Wyvern, ABC-Dragon Buster and the older XYZ-Dragon Cannon strategy. Each page also lists eight decks per Display Box and twelve Display Boxes per Case.

“Name, design and contents subject to change.”

Konami Europe

The original North American versions launched October 21, 2016 at $9.99 per box. Konami’s archived product page lists the same 45 card set size and the same rarity breakdown for both decks. European distributor CubeGolem now identifies the December products as reprints and retains the SDMY and SDKS product identifiers, further supporting that these are returning versions of the 2016 decks rather than newly built products.

Two Cards With 2016 Only Printings

The clearest reprint angle sits in the Yugi deck. Konami’s current TCG database lists Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior only as SDMY-EN004 from October 21, 2016, and Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battlebot only as SDMY-EN041 from the same release. If the 2026 contents remain aligned with the original deck, those cards would return to the TCG after roughly ten years without another listed printing. Konami has not posted a final 2026 card list, so that outcome is not yet locked.

A Very Literal Throwback

What stands out here is how closely the December products appear to mirror their 2016 versions. Rather than presenting a new Yugi or Kaiba deck concept, this looks like a direct nostalgia rerelease built around two of the era’s signature strategies. The next useful confirmation will be the final card lists and whether Konami announces the same return for North America.
