The October 17 worldwide release turns 30 Pokémon card designs into randomized skateboard decks, with three glitter-gold collage variants limited to 500 copies each.
The Drop at a Glance
- What happened: Santa Cruz Skateboards detailed a Pokémon TCG 30th anniversary collection built around sealed blind bags containing one randomly assorted card-art skateboard deck.
- Launch date: The collection is scheduled for a worldwide release on October 17, 2026 at 9 a.m. Eastern and 6 a.m. Pacific.
- Collector hook: There are 30 regular designs plus three glitter-gold foil collage variants, with each gold variant limited to 500 copies worldwide.

Thirty Cards Become Skateboards
Each sealed blind bag contains one 8″ × 31.6″ skateboard featuring artwork from one of 30 Pokémon TCG cards. Santa Cruz says the card artwork will be revealed when the collection releases, while the three glitter-gold foil chase decks use multi-card collages drawn from global versions of Pokémon TCG cards. Every randomized deck also comes with a limited-edition Pokémon Player’s Guide showing the 30 regular designs and three chase variants.

The collaboration lands during Pokémon’s broader 30th anniversary year, alongside the English 30th Celebration expansion. FoilWire has already covered 30th Celebration’s early pull-rate data, while the set’s sealed lineup includes the 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box and individual 30th Celebration Booster Packs. Santa Cruz is using the same anniversary moment for a very different collectible format.
Zumiez Adds a Raffle Route
Zumiez says every store will hold a raffle on October 17 for the opportunity to purchase a blind bag, with drawings scheduled for 1 p.m. local time and a limit of one blind bag per person. The retailer also plans to release a very limited quantity through its app after the store raffles, with those app orders scheduled to begin shipping October 19. Santa Cruz’s collection page also lists apparel and griptape, but it does not currently show a price for the blind-bag decks.
A Very TCG Kind of Skate Drop
The clever part is the format. Santa Cruz combined card artwork, blind bags, a checklist-style guide, and three tightly limited gold chases, turning a skateboard collaboration into something that feels deliberately familiar to card collectors without pretending the boards are trading cards themselves.
