Pokémon TCG Reveals Special Deck Set MEGA for Japan, Releasing November 13

The Japanese set bundles Mega Feraligatr ex, Mega Dragonite ex, and Mega Gengar ex decks with a playmat and other accessories.

Three Mega ex Decks in One Box

  • What happened: The Pokémon TCG official site announced Special Deck Set MEGA, a Japanese product with three 60-card decks led by Mega Feraligatr ex, Mega Dragonite ex, and Mega Gengar ex.
  • Key date: The announcement was posted October 16, 2026, and the official product page lists a November 13, 2026 release date.
  • Why it matters: The official page publishes the full deck lists and contents ahead of release, with a suggested retail price of ¥5,500 including tax.

What Comes in the Set

Each of the three decks is a complete 60-card list built around one Mega ex Pokémon. Besides the decks, the official product page lists three deck boxes, three coins, a playmat, and a card box.

The price is ¥5,500 including tax, and the page is on the Japanese Pokémon TCG site. Japan already has a separate single-deck Mega Gengar ex product, Starter Set MEGA Mega Gengar ex, which shares the MEGA branding but is a different release from this set.

The official product page also notes that the set includes some cards that were previously released or distributed. That means the decks mix reprints of earlier cards with the new product’s own contents. For another recent look at a physical Pokémon TCG release, see our review of the Pokémon 30th Celebration Set.

Japan Only, For Now

The details confirmed so far come from the Japanese product page, which does not list an English release or price. English-language players who want a ready-to-play Gengar deck have a different product in Mega Battle Deck: Mega Gengar ex/Mega Diancie ex [Set of 2], which pairs Mega Gengar ex with Mega Diancie ex. It is its own release and not an English version of this set.

The Reprint Note Matters Most

Publishing all three lists before launch is useful, since players can see exactly what they’d get. The note about previously released and distributed cards is the detail worth checking against your own collection before deciding what the set adds.
