Behind the Foil

G-angle Co., Ltd. illustrated this printing, and it’s about as loud as a card frame gets. Baelz faces the viewer head-on with a grin, blue eyes, and long red twin-tails streaked with white and dark strands. Her hands are pressed together in front of her, wrapped in swirling teal and blue energy, as if she’s about to let something loose.

Behind her, the background is a clash of saturated rainbow strokes in orange, yellow, pink, green, and blue that reads more like thrown paint than a setting. The cool teal at her hands is the one calm patch in the frame, and it pulls your eye straight to the gesture. It suits a card whose skills hinge on a die roll, even if the art is best read as mood rather than a diagram of the rules. Her name sits in yellow italics at the bottom center, with a big yellow 5 beside LIFE in the corner.

Chaos. Mayhem. Entropy….. All in the form of a cute little rat.

hololive production

This card arrived in English with the Ayakashi Vermilion booster on June 19, 2026, and the set gives Baelz more than one way to lean on dice. Her Super Rare card Hakos Baelz (SR) (hBP06-044) has Wheel of Fortune Arts that also roll a die after the SP Oshi Skill, so the randomness shows up on more than one card in her lineup. The Oshi card is the anchor, though. It sets up the SP skill and the follow-up draw that the rest of the theme orbits around.

Lore

Baelz is a rat idol who stands for chaos, debuting on August 23, 2021, and now part of hololive -Promise-. In her Council-era profile she was appointed Council chairperson, a fitting joke for someone who believes rules aren’t the be-all and end-all. She’s a performer hunting for her next stage who sometimes gets swept up in her own storm. That storm is the card’s whole personality: the skill text hands the outcome to a die instead of to her.

Competitive History

The card has two skills that depend on each other. The SP Oshi Skill, usable once per game for two holo Power, rolls a die and archives that many cards from your hand, and the official Q&A confirms you can’t skip the roll. The other skill, Embodiment of Chaos, costs one holo Power, can be used once per turn, and if you’ve used the SP skill earlier in the game, you roll a die and draw until your hand matches the result. Official ruling Q503 says you can activate it without having used the SP skill, but you pay the cost and nothing happens, and Q504 confirms the draw-until-hand-size rule.

On the results side, tournament logs list Baelz decks placing third at a Suisei Bloom Cup on June 28, 2026, and seventh at a Diva Fever Entry Cup on April 27, 2026. In logged Baelz lists, hBP06-005 appears in every list at an average of one copy, which makes it a regular fixture of her decks rather than a proven dominant pick. Players building around the SP skill can also look at Hakos Baelz (RR), whose DOPPELSCHUSS!! Arts depend on having used that same skill.

FoilWire Take

The best thing about this card is that the flavor and the rules agree. Baelz’s theme is unpredictability, so the card lets a die decide, and the two-step structure gives you a cost up front (the archive) and a payoff later (the draw). The random card count is the point, which makes it a more interesting design than a flat draw effect. It’s also a good example of how Hololive OCG ties a talent’s personality to Oshi skills, the same way the game showcases other talents in our look at Shirakami Fubuki’s new Live Start Deck. If you want a Baelz card that earns its place as the face of her deck, this is the one.
