Exodia is the latest major monster to receive the collection’s expansive Overframe treatment as Konami continues revealing cards ahead of the September 26 OCG release.
Exodia Joins the Lineup
- Latest reveal: A new Exodia monster has been revealed for Original Artwork Collection, joining the small group of monsters receiving the set’s distinctive Overframe treatment.
- Release date: Original Artwork Collection releases for the Japanese OCG on September 26, 2026. The 100 card set contains four cards per pack and 15 packs per box.
- Artwork lineup: Recent Overframe reveals have also featured Harpie Lady, Dark Necrofear, Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth, and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon as the collection takes shape.
Exodia Gets the Overframe Treatment
The newest reveal puts Exodia front and center with artwork that extends well beyond the normal illustration window. Early translations identify the Level 10 DARK Spellcaster as a new Exodia monster with 1000 ATK and 1000 DEF. It can Special Summon itself when drawn during its controller’s turn, then has an optional effect that can prevent either player from activating other cards or effects for the remainder of that turn while also preventing its controller from Normal or Special Summoning.

When it battles, Exodia can also destroy the opponent’s monsters at the start of the Damage Step and inflict damage based on their combined original ATK. An official English name has not been announced, so names circulating with early translations may change before any eventual TCG release.
A Collection Built Around the Art
Exodia is only part of what Konami is doing with Original Artwork Collection. The official product page describes a 100 card set inspired by monsters and memorable scenes from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga. Thirty cards use the new MANGA STYLE presentation in both monochrome and color versions, while 10 cards receive the Overframe treatment. The collection also includes Prismatic Secret Rare versions of 38 cards and serialized Grand Master Rare versions of 10 Ultra Rares.

The Reveals Are Delivering
The Overframe lineup is becoming one of the most interesting parts of the collection. Exodia now sits alongside Harpie Lady, Dark Necrofear, Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth, and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, giving several monsters closely associated with the original series large showcase artworks rather than simple reprints. Combined with the MANGA STYLE cards and the broader focus on scenes from the original manga, Original Artwork Collection is shaping up to be one of the more visually distinctive Yu-Gi-Oh! releases of 2026.
