Rank Up Trial Decks at a Glance
- What happened: Bushiroad announced Rank Up, a new Palworld Official Card Game mechanic, along with two trial decks built around it.
- Key date: The announcement came Oct. 28. The trial decks are scheduled for Dec. 18, 2026, and the Eternal Ascent booster for Jan. 29, 2027.
- Why it matters: The trial decks give players a first hands-on look at Rank Up a little over a month before the booster that follows them.
What’s in the Eternal Ascent Trial Decks
Bushiroad revealed the two decks, Eternal Ascent Red・Green and Eternal Ascent Blue・Purple, in its autumn strategy presentation. Rank Up works by stacking Pals that share a main name. Each deck holds a 50-card main deck and a 10-card Soul Deck, plus a playmat, play guide, counters and markers. The decks lead into the third booster, Eternal Ascent, the set behind Eternal Ascent Booster Box Case, which lists 100 card types plus parallels.
「ランクアップ」は、メインネームが同じパルを重ねることで、パルのランクが上がる新ギミック。
English translation: “Rank Up” is a new mechanic that increases a Pal’s rank by stacking Pals with the same main name.
Palworld Official Card Game
Each deck swaps two cards in its main deck for parallel-rarity versions (TSR/TSP). It also includes two Soul cards that use artwork from Dawn of Palpagos, the first booster, and the two decks carry different Soul-card lineups. Newer players can compare this format with the earlier Dawn of Palpagos Red•Blue Trial Deck, another ready-to-play trial deck from the series.
Rank Up in the Rules Conversation
Rank Up adds a new way to think about deck building, since a Pal’s main name now matters for more than flavor. Players who follow how Palworld TCG handles name-based interactions will recall the clarification covered in our report on the Swee – Hibernating Together errata, which dealt with how Pals are counted across both fields.
A Mechanic Introduced Through Starter Products
Debuting Rank Up in trial decks is a sensible move, because the rules come packaged with a playmat, a play guide and a full deck. The new Soul cards with Dawn of Palpagos art are a small touch that ties the decks back to the game’s first booster.
