Palworld Pushes Beyond the Booth at TGS2026 With New Promo Cards

Pocketpair paired its largest booth yet with two Palworld Official Card Game promos, cosplay, live events, themed food, giveaways, and advertising that carried Palworld beyond Makuhari Messe.

A Wider TGS Presence

  • What happened: Pocketpair built its biggest Tokyo Game Show presence yet around Palworld, combining its largest booth to date with live activities, merchandise, food, and promotion outside the show floor.
  • Event timing: TGS2026 ran at Makuhari Messe from September 17 through September 20, with the planned September 21 public day canceled because of Typhoon No. 25.
  • TCG tie in: The Palworld Official Card Game was part of the event through two mascot themed promo cards, including Cattiva PR-029 and Chillet Soul SOUL-013.

Inside Pocketpair’s Biggest Booth

Pocketpair described the TGS2026 space as its largest booth ever. The exhibit included a giant moving Jetragon sculpture, Pal statues built at life size, interactive areas, playable demos for Pocketpair published titles, and a cast of 23 official cosplayers. Palworld’s official X account also posted video from the booth during the show, highlighting demos, audience participation events, and the stage.

“Step straight into the universe of Palworld at our grandest exhibit yet.”

Pocketpair, TGS2026 announcement

The appearance came just over two months after Palworld version 1.0 launched on July 10. Pocketpair also spread its presence across other parts of the venue, including a kitchen truck in the outdoor food area with Pal themed menu items and promotional novelties.

Two TGS Promo Cards

The Palworld Official Card Game had its own collectible tie in at TGS2026. Visitors taking part in booth activities such as the crane game could receive Cattiva PR-029 while supplies lasted. The card uses the Cattiva mascot costume as its artwork and features the same 2 cost, 200 power, 1 Strike stat line and continuous ability as Cattiva, My First Pal.

A second card, Chillet Soul SOUL-013, used the Chillet mascot costume and was distributed to customers spending at least 3,000 yen in a single transaction at the Pocketpair merchandise booth. Daily quantities were limited, although Pocketpair noted that the Chillet Soul promo may also appear at future events. Together, the two cards brought the physical characters roaming the booth directly into the tabletop game.

The Promotion Moved Outside

One of the clearest examples came away from the booth itself. Palworld’s official account said an advertising truck tied to the upcoming Shibuya Modi popup was traveling through Shibuya, Ikebukuro, and Makuhari, with the truck circulating around Makuhari Messe during TGS2026. The PALWORLD POP UP SHOP 2026 in 渋谷モディ opens September 26 and runs through October 4, with new merchandise, overseas items, and the Palworld Official Card Game among the products.

Visibility Through Participation

What stands out is how Pocketpair made the promotion interactive instead of treating TGS as a single display. Fans could encounter the same characters through the booth, mascot appearances, promo cards, cosplay, food, giveaways, and moving street advertising. That connection between the physical event and the card game is especially clever, with the Cattiva and Chillet mascots becoming collectibles from the event itself. It remains to be seen how much of that approach carries into future events, but TGS2026 showed a playful and highly visible way to keep putting the brand in front of people.
