Proceeding With the Plan, Rapi Turns Defense Into Another Attack

Proceeding With the Plan, Rapi gives one of NIKKE’s central heroes a gorgeous SEC Plus showcase and a wonderfully cheeky finisher that can turn canceled damage into another attack.

Behind the Foil

Rapi is one of the main party members in GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE and a member of Counters. Official character material describes her as exceptionally capable in battle, somewhat aloof at first, and much warmer toward people who earn her respect.

That personality fits this artwork beautifully. Instead of burying her in battle effects, the SEC Plus lets Rapi simply own the frame. Her black uniform and beret sit against a pale open sky while that enormous sweep of pink hair carries almost the entire composition. The gold stamp curling across the full art adds just enough flash to a character who is usually anything but flashy.

There is an important little detail here for art fans, too. Bushiroad confirms that the SEC Plus and SSP cards in the original Japanese release use newly drawn illustrations. The official material we could verify does not identify the individual artist behind this particular Rapi artwork, so we are leaving the credit open rather than guessing.

Proceeding With the Plan, Rapi also received several treatments around the same underlying card, including Rare, Super Rare, Special Rare, Secret Rare Plus, and promotional versions. That gives Rapi fans quite a few ways to collect the design, but the SEC Plus is easily the version that lets the artwork breathe the most.

Competitive History

Pretty card, yes. But Rapi actually came ready to play.

She is a level 3 character with 10000 power that can heal one card from your clock when played from hand. Her real trick comes from her climax combo with Victory to Humanity. With Class Clown, Anis and Firepower Rules! Neon beside her, Rapi can give the other characters in your center stage the ability to stand again once during the turn when their damage is canceled.

In plain English, your opponent can successfully cancel an attack and accidentally give you another attack. That is wonderfully rude.

There is a catch, of course. Rapi wants a very specific board, the correct climax, one stock, and a card from hand for the cost. That is considerably more setup than some of NIKKE’s other finishing options, and tournament results have generally favored Modernia and Biscuit based builds instead.

Rapi has not disappeared from competitive play, though. NIKKE represented 10 percent of the field at the 2025 World Finals, where a Modernia and Biscuit build finished third. Rapi variants have also appeared in later team results, including a Modernia and Rapi entry on the second place team at Bushiroad Summer Fest in Mexico City on August 9, 2026. Published tournament summaries do not identify every individual card in those Rapi builds, so that result should not be treated as proof that this exact card appeared in every list.

As of September 2026, Proceeding With the Plan, Rapi is not named on the English restriction list. Bushiroad previously placed NIKKE on its watch list as the title saw heavy use and later an increasing win rate, but no NIKKE restriction appears on the current list.

FoilWire Take

Yeah, we love this one.

Proceeding With the Plan, Rapi gets a lot right at once. It features one of NIKKE’s core characters, gives her an artwork that genuinely feels different from a normal card treatment, and attaches that artwork to a card with an effect that is actually fun to explain. Cancel my damage, and I might just swing again.

Collector discussion around the NIKKE release has shown plenty of excitement for Rapi SEC Plus pulls, with owners regularly treating the card as one of the memorable hits from the set. That does not mean every collector has the same favorite, and a handful of enthusiastic posts are not universal consensus. Still, Rapi has very clearly found her audience.

Among her printings, the SEC Plus is the standout for us. The open background, flowing hair, restrained expression, and gold stamping all work together without making the card feel busy. Sometimes a chase card is mostly about rarity. This one remembers to look fantastic, too.
